Slumber Party in Your Relationship

Okay most of us have been to a slumber party.  The amazing thing about all the ones that I have been to is that there is NO slumber going on there.  The idea of the slumber party is to stay up as late as you can.

Why not bring this into your relationship?  Think about it - who better to spend a evening staying up late with than your partner?  Set it up with snacks and fun things to do.  Some fun things you can do are play twister (that could get some giggles) or bring your laptop into your bed and watch a movie or some funny video clips on YouTube.  You could play a game or ask each other deep and meaningful questions late into the night.

Just have fun together and enjoy that wonderful relationships can have the element of friendship in them, too.

Secret Agent Working For You??

Wouldn't it be fascinating if we had a secret agent working on our behalf?  He/she could seek out the best opportunities for us - the best jobs, the best parking spaces, the best times, the best restaurants, the best clients, the best relationships, the best pets, the best books, and on and on ....

Ah, they could also help us make the best choices in how we react, in what we say, in what we choose to feel.  They could change our lives!  It would be sooo amazing!

WAIT!!  WIAT!!  We do have this!

Who? Where?

We usually call them spirit guides, angels and even God.  I believe this role is mainly held by spirit guides as angels help step in to protect us or save us.  But, our spirit guides, when we welcome them and connect with them, offer us amazing insight and guidance.  It may not always be crystal clear, but it is there if we become more aware and develop our relationship with our guides.

Rob and I recently talked a bit about a spirit guide, Kale, that we have as a couple on our radio show, The Relationship Guides, during part 1 of 2012 Shift for Couples.  Listen to that show archived on Blogtalkradio or download it free from iTunes.

With light and love,

Why Are You Waiting?

Are you waiting for something?  Maybe it is the right opportunity to leave your job or the the right time to take that special trip with the one you love.   The problem is we spend most of our time waiting for the right time.  Then after we get so old we look back and say, "Man I wish I would have done that 15 years ago."

There is no time like the present to do the things you want to do.  Money might be an issue, but if you really put your mind to it you can find a way to save for these things you are waiting for.  Maybe you sell some of the junk you are keeping in your basement or you work a couple of hours of overtime once a week.  These little sums of money can add up very quickly if you set them aside for what you are waiting on.  The reward will quickly be in your sight.

So, stop wishing and start the process of taking that dream vacation with your lover or whatever it is.  There is no time like the present to start working towards it.

Everything Can Be Spiritual

Mmmm...feeling thankful for the washer and dryer...apologetic to the clothes for leaving them in the washer yesterday and now having to rewash them. The dryer is oh so patiently waiting for me to move those clothes from the washer to its warm interior :) I put it on my list of things to do to.

Soda Police

Okay, one of my biggest things I need to change is drinking soda.  We all know it is not good for us and yet we continue to drink it.  You can team up with your partner to decrease the amount of soda you drink.  Make a pact with each other to control the amount of soda you and your partner drink.  Become the Soda Police and keep a tight eye on how much soda you consume.  If you drink different kinds of soda, let the other person hide your soda.  If you can find it, then you can have some.  Of course, you can always ask for a can.  At least when it is out of sight you will be less likely to drink it.

Set a limit to the number of sodas you can have a day and both of you stick to it.   Find other items to drink while the soda police has your soda in custody.  Water, juice (100% - no refined sugars added), and some teas are better options.  Eventually, you will find yourself feeling better once you get over the hump of "needing" soda.

Love, Sex, & Magick

This is a great book.  We highly recommend it.

"Rather than being only a physical or mechanical experience making love with someone can extend into the spiritual depth that awakens when you merge with the soul of the other person." - Sirona Knight

Blindfolds Can Add Excitement to Simple Things

Introducing a blindfold into your love live can be a wonderful experience.  It will change your whole perspective on the most normal activities.  A simple kiss changes as you are unable to see what is happening.  You rely more on your sense of touch to enjoy the feeling.  You can use the blindfold in many ways.  Take turns blindfolding each other and feeding different foods to one another.  See how different the tastes are when you cannot see them.  Then put the blindfold on and massage each other focusing on the feeling instead of the visual might just let you enjoy the massage even more.  Finally, bring the blindfold into your intimate play and enjoy the sensations that are created when you focus on your other senses during foreplay and while making love.
