Singing Bowl - Healing of Sound

Sounds can bring you healing and levels of relaxation that you may never have considered before.  It may be putting on some of your favorite music and dancing around the house or listening to it while you drive.  But, today I am sharing a little different practice.

This is just a quick and easy exercise that you can do to gain a sense of calmness and serenity - it may last for a few minutes or this relaxed state may stay with you all day.

Using a singing bowl, as pictured above, tap the rim of it with the mallet.  You may also run the mallet along the rim of the bowl as well.  Allow this beautiful tone to penetrate you.  Close your eyes and focus only on the sound.  Continue to focus on the sound as you breathe in deeply and exhale slowly.  Listen until you absolutely can no longer hear the sound.  Repeat this if you wish.

This will only take a couple of minutes, but it can transform your entire day.

Blessings to you filled with light and love dear ones~

Do Something Naked Together Today

The Love is... comic strip has the couple always naked together having fun.

As relationships go it seems like the only time couples are naked together is when they are about to make love.  Most of the time the fear of being naked with each other is because of body image.  Well I am going to challenge all you couples out there to do something together today totally naked.  It doesn't have to be anything special - just get naked and be together.  Maybe you could cook dinner naked together or watch a movie naked and snuggling.  Just take some time to enjoy each other with nothing between the two of you.  Later on, if you like, you can take it to a more intimate level.  But, for now just enjoy each other in your truest form.

If you have children, this might be a little harder.  If nothing else, just retire to your room, lock the door, strip down and read together.  Maybe you could work a crossword puzzle lying in your bed naked.  I don't want any excuses, drop the clothes and get naked together.

What in God's Name is the Dog Doing?

Even the dog is making changes!

How did this happen?!!  Is he contacting other dogs?  Is he donating dog food to a shelter?  Or is he studying up on galactic changes?  Oh my God, maybe he is reading about other beings - those from other dimensions, those from Spirit.  Of course, it is also possible that he is just checking your facebook page wondering why on Earth you posted a picture of him in that silly elf costume from Christmas....your slippers are history ;)

This is a new year - it happens every 12 months.  So, what is the big deal?  It is a common experience to feel the need to make changes come January every year.  We look back and see things we didn't like or that we weren't successful at during the past year with the realization that yes, an entire year has passed.  Then we decide to do things differently.  But, how long do most of us stick to our new plan?  Maybe it lasts a few weeks or maybe even through spring.

This year there is more emphasis on change and transformation because the Mayan calendar has had a lot of attention.  Well, changes are not going to just magically occur this year or in December of this year.  These changes have already been slowly taking place and they will only truly take affect for you if you consciously choose to transform your life.

So, what are you waiting for?  With focused attention and intention you can learn to love yourself, have compassion for yourself, uncover your vulnerabilities, awaken to your Soul and transform not only your life, but the lives of those around you (everyone - friends, family, your lover, pets, neighbors, plants, etc.).  Sometimes you just need a little guidance.

Don't wait any longer - the dog isn't!

Give Up The Fight To Be Right!

Daddy's Home by Tony Rubino and Gary Markstein

One of the most important things we can do for our relationship is give up the need to be right.  If we refuse to accept that there has to be a winner and loser to every disagreement then we open the door to a more compassionate and loving relationship.  Accept that you both might have different opinions and that it is okay.  I actually think it makes the relationship better when you have differences in opinions.  So the next time you find the two of you fighting over who is right and who is wrong, step out of the moment and realize it doesn't matter, accept it.

Caregivers Must Care For Themselves Too!!

Do you take care of someone - a child, an elderly parent, a sibling, your spouse?  It can be quite draining.  Check out my article in regards to this.  When we care for others we must remember to take care of ourselves or will be no good to anyone.

The Couples Spot 1000th Post!

Funny how this post the first one of the New Year of 2012 works out to be our 1000th.  It as been a wonderful journey of transformation.  When I started The Couples Spot 1000 post ago I thought to myself this is going to be a challenge to make a post every day.  Well the amazing part is that with each post I seem to get ideas about more and more posts.  So the ideas have not stopped coming and they are actually Branching out.

Not only has The Couples Spot evolved but I have grown tremendously during this time.  My spirituality has had a huge impact on my life.  The formation of our parent company Inward Oasis and the products we are producing like Sexy Challenges, Intimate Adventures, The Relationship Guides Radio Show, Conversations Hit the Road our podcast and the many books and information we are putting out to you wonderful people out there is an amazing feeling.  To know that so many people have visited The Couples Spot is an honor to me.  I appreciate each and every one of you.

The even more beautiful part of this is when my wonderful and beautiful partner came on board at The Couples Spot.  We now share this wonderful place that has become a part of us.  No longer is this just a blog it is a gift we give to so many out there.  Our goal is to make relationships happier and healthier and to help those couples that are ready find their Blended Spirit.

It has been a wonderful and exciting journey so far and I can't wait to see what happens within the next 1000 posts.  We are glad you are here with us, you are beautiful.

Peace and Love,
Rob and Janelle
