Halloween Goodie Bag

Why should the kids be the only ones to get a loaded bag of goodies on Halloween.  Treat your partner to a goody bag of their own.  You can put in a bottle of your favorite wine, candles to create soft lighting, a coupon to your favorite place to eat, or what ever items your partner likes. You can even put their favorite candy inside, not there is an idea you don't hear about on Halloween :-)

You can even take it to the more intimate side by putting in items to have a sexy good time on Halloween.  Lubes like Sex Butter, amazing sexy clothing like Nookies Pleasure Sox, or other toys and games for adults.  Heck you can even leave the bag empty and tell your partner you picked up a great Halloween costume for them (Naked will get them lots of treats in your Halloween fun)

Just Write

Feeling creative?  Feeling really happy?  Feeling down?  Grab a pen and paper and start writing.  Focus on a theme (your child, your love, love in general, joy in the world, poverty, etc.) and let the words flow out of you.  If you can play an instrument, perhaps you can write the music too.  If not, don’t worry.  This is just for you to let some of the things that are inside of you out.  You don’t need to share this with anyone – unless you want to of course.  Just let your inner self sing.

Halloween is coming do your have your costume ready for your relationship?

Joe Dirt might not be the best choice for sexy Halloween costume, but to each their own.
Halloween is coming and this is the best time to introduce a little role playing into your relationship.  Halloween is the best time for this because there are so many costumes available.  You can go to your local discount store and pick up wigs and items to transform you into a different looking person.  May a pact with your lover to pick out a costume for an intimate evening for the two of you.  This will bring new meaning to the words trick or treat for the two of you.  Be a sexy vampire, or man in uniform, you have many many things to choose from.  Make it fun, some couples really get into being a different person but if that is not your bag, then just make it fun and laugh the night away being sensual with your lover.  Halloween is not just for kids any more.

Feeling Good is the Start to a Wonderful Relationship

Healthy couples have an added benefit in their relationship.

When we speak about relationship issues we seldom think about our health as a prime importance to our relationship.  However just the opposite it true.  When we are healthy we benefit our relationship in many ways.   For starters we are able to enjoy things like walks with our lover, spontaneous adventures, and any function that might require us to be healthy to enjoy it.  Next we look and feel better about ourselves so we don't bring the self doubt into the relationship.  We can accept our lovers compliments and enjoy them for what they actually are, a compliment.  It is a fact that most healthy people are more interested in intimacy then unhealthy people.  Are you starting to see how your health is not only important for you but also your relationship.

What Defines Spiritual Practice?

When we think of spiritual practice we may think of an image of a Buddha, or someone sitting on cushions as they meditate, or someone in a yoga posture. However, each persons practice is as unique as the individual. Our spiritual practice may or may not include sitting meditation. Perhaps we meditate while: walking, enjoying nature, meandering through a fine art museum, cooking, cleaning, going on retreats, having quiet times at home, skiing or kayaking. Whatever we do during the day, whether we are working or parenting, there are many ways to practice ethics and kindness. At the office, we can attend to tasks mindfully and listen to colleagues and co-workers attentively. Taking a moment each hour to close our eyes and focus on our breathing can help us be more mindful and peaceful at work.

We can set our watches to beep each hour, of set a mindfulness chime on our computers. At home, with the children, tuning into their needs, moods, joys and sorrows -- cooking mindfully -- enjoying the process as well as the product -- looking at the colors and textures of foods, tasting herbs and spices, smelling delicious aromas -- all spiritual practice. When we are out and about, we may practice by smiling at people, being kind to store clerks and strangers. Several years ago I lived in a university town where there were many students walking about the campus, especially between classes. I remembered when my two sons attended university and opened my heart to the students in the same way I open my heart to my sons. We can express our spirituality by extending kindness to each person we meet on our daily path. Talking less and listening more -- giving our undivided attention to people is giving a spiritual gift to them. Listening with our hearts as well as our ears will deepen our relationships as well as our spiritual practice. What does your spiritual practice look like?
