What Surrounds You Part 2

Continued from yesterday – do you live or work in a big city? Do you live or work near the beauty nature has to share? Many people do live in the midst of beauty. So, if you live by majestic ocean waters, if you drive by phenomenal mountain views every day, if you can take a long walk in a beautiful woodland, do you pay attention? Do you see the beauty right before you? It is just as easy to overlook it when it is right in front of you as when you live in a city and it is more challenging to uncover.

Take the time to breathe the fresh air. Take time to notice the flowers, the trees, the animals, and those around you. Stop and appreciate the joy that surrounds you. Be loving, mindful and compassionate towards all of it. You are just as beautiful, but what surrounds you is just as important as you and your fellow humankind. Be open to your inner joy and love and share it with the world.

What Surrounds You Part 1

Do you live or work in a big city? Do you live or work near the beauty nature has to share? Either way it is so important to realize that many do. Many people, animals, trees, plants, etc. live crammed into concreted walls and streets. Living so closely with so many people gives one ample opportunity to share love, friendship, and compassion for others. Yet, far too many rush through the day, pushing and shoving other people, turning from the beggar on the street, yelling at the cashier at the coffee shop, fighting to get the next cab. I want you to stop in the middle of the busy sidewalk. Look around. Be aware of what is going on around you. Open a door for someone. Give the beggar a few dollars (it doesn’t matter what he/she chooses to do with it – what matters is that you shared). Smile at the cashier. Leave earlier so you won’t feel so rushed to get the next cab.

You may be surrounded by tall buildings and concrete sidewalks, but if you take the time to stop and look, you can find beauty in all of it. Yes, it is true that sometimes you will have to look harder to find such beauty, but it is there because it is inside of you and everyone and everything around you if only everyone would open to it and share it.

Set times to talk about the business of your relationship

In any relationship we have to address things like paying bills or deciding on major purchases.  This can be a real downer if it is handled wrong.  For starters never never talk about finances in bed.  Your bed is a sacred place for the two of you don't bring something in that could effect that.  Try setting a time and place for a business meeting each week.  Keep it short and to the point.  Have key elements outlined to talk about and then when the meeting is done so is the talk about finances.  So many arguments start over the relationship finances.  Don't let this happen to your relationship.  Get the info out on the table and then get it off the table.  Financial aspects of your relationship will always be around so don't push them under the rug or talk about them during times you should be enjoying each other.  Set the business meeting time today and stick with it.

Moon Rising

Each night as the moon rises high into the sky it signals a time for us to reflect on the day, month, year, or life we are within.  The moon signifies the end of the day and so it comes to signify the end of many cycles.  Thus when the moon shines bright upon your life it is time to rejoice and morn our memories.  Think about the wonders you have meet during the day or your times on this plane.  Think about how special each and every tiny bit of life is, be it the words of a child or the vision of your god.  As each cycle ends with the rising of the moon so to brings it a new beginning as it gives way to the rise of the sun.  Reflect on the past joys and sorrows but be prepared for the new beginning that comes after each moon rise and meet it with warmth and passion the same way, always.

Sweat it's great for lovers

Sweat, you love it or you hate it.  However the simple truth is, sweat is good for your body.  Sweat releases toxins in the body and is a sign that your body is working hard.  This means your heart is pumping and getting in better shape.  Sure a hug might be disgusting after a hard work out, but think about how your partner is taking care of their body.  That might just change your mind about sweat.  Plus pheromones are released in sweat that actual are designed to attract a mate.  I think we have moved way past just a scent attracting us but it can be a nice wake up call to smell your lover.  Plus after a nice hot shower everyone is a bit more sexy!

Be Who You Are!

There are so many different kinds of nuts. There are peanuts, cashews, almonds, walnuts, chestnuts, pecans, macadamia nuts, and so forth. You can get them salted, unsalted, roasted, in the shell, raw, at a local grocer, from an online store, or maybe even from your own backyard. I must ask you – Has anyone ever ridiculed you for eating one kind of nut and not another? Or has anyone reprimanded you for buying a bag of mixed nuts?

It is important to remember that one thing does not necessarily fit well for everyone. We are all individuals as well as being connected to each other. Because we are individuals though we must follow our own path. Is there truly a right or a wrong way? I don’t believe so. It is about what resonates with you. I am talking about everything in your life from your spiritual path, to how you exercise, to your diet, to any spiritual practices you do (yoga, meditation, painting, hiking, reading to your child – the list is infinite), to your education, to the kind of nuts you may put in a bowl on the table.

It is vital that we be ourselves first with deep compassion and love for others. Do not forget or overlook those around you, but be true to yourself. Know who you are. Then, be who you are.

If you are unsure of who you are or you know, but you realize that life is a journey, stick with us. We are here to help you grow, expand, and connect with your authentic self. That is – who really are.

Relationship Quote

"Relationships change like the wind, are you ready to chase your hat down the street?"
