We all need a good support system. Without one the hills and valleys of life are just not the same. The journey up the hill is more treacherous. Even the descent into the valley can be more difficult. If the tire on your car goes flat and you have a spare you may have to drive a few miles on a donut until you can replace it. Sometime people just keep driving and driving for days (maybe even weeks) on that donut. It puts the driver and all those around her at risk.

If you find yourself feeling alone or even lonely within a group of others, it is time to find a good support system. Quit riding around on the donut. Reach out to others that have similar interests as you. You may be able to find a group who meets regularly in your area. Or, you can even go so far as to find groups on Facebook that have similar interests as you. Find a class that interests you. It can be a weekly class or just a class that runs for a few weeks.

It is so important that we have support around us or that we can access. It certainly warms our hearts and souls to know we are not alone.

Surprise your love with some housework.

Does your partner go to bed sometimes before you?  If not make up an excuse to stay up later than them.  Tell them you are staying up to watch the game or read.  Then once they are asleep kick into gear and get some chores done and out of the way.  Imagine your partners surprise when they away to a clean house or to the fact all the laundry is done.  This will free you both up to maybe go to dinner or see a movie later in the day.  Plus if you do some of the chores you partner does on a regular basis it will score you huge points in their eyes.  It also just shows how much you care about your partner and your relationship.

Bridges to Cross

We all have bridges to cross.  Some are long and some are short but they all take us to the other side from where we start.  Some are high and some are low but all take us across some form of valley.  Without our bridges we would just stand on one side wondering about the other side of the bridge.

Hilarious Thing to do with your Partner.

Okay we all have songs that we were embarrassed that we listened to at some point in our life.  Tonight as a conversation why don't the two of you discuss your list of embarrassing songs that you had either bought or listened to during your lifetime.  They can be from your childhood or your adult life but share and laugh about them to pass the night way.  Pull up iTunes and search for these songs to bring back even more memories.  Here I will start you out I actually bought the song listed below.

Vanilla Ice - Ice Ice Baby

"Love is the rock, the only rock on which we can build the temple of life, the temple of God. Everything else is just sand; except love nothing can become the foundation of life. And to make a house on anything else is to waste your time, energy; ultimately you will have only frustration in your hands and nothing else."

A bottle of wine can make you feel fine.

Don't get me wrong I don't encourage you to drink alcohol, but every once is a while is not bad.  Sometimes it is wonderful way for the two of you to relax and converse.  Popping the cork on a bottle of wine or having a simple mixed drink can lead to some great conversation.  Now to much alcohol and it can become a problem, the object here is not to get drunk but to feel that slight buzz that loosens you up a little. Make sure when you are going to do this that it's a night without the kids or a night where you won't have to get out or anywhere near a car.  It can also evolve into a wonderful romantic night.  Just make a pact with each other to limit the drinks so that the evening can be wonderful and exciting.
