Every now and then even the best relationship can have a moment where there is tension. Maybe something is done that one partner doesn't like this is the time you need to exercise control. If you are the partner that has feels something is wrong, then you need to step away and calm down. Give yourself some space to let the initial feeling of anger dissipate. By giving yourself some space instead of flying off the handle you allow yourself to approach the situation with a cooler head. Most disagreements can be handled in a calm manner once you give yourself this time and space. The next time you feel like you are about to blow practice this technique. You and your relationship will be glad you did.
